Finally, after a long wait Battlefield 2042 is just over the horizon. Players are so close to get back in the battle, especially after the newly released trailer. We got a proper look into what to expect in the upcoming FPS by DICE.
Battlefield 2042 will be the seventeenth game in the Battlefield series, with the last one having been 2018’s Battlefield V.
Although the full game isn’t set to release until November 19th, players can hop into the Open Beta to get an early taste of the game. The Open Beta will be a timed event, where you can experience and play the game for a few days.

The open beta will only be available between October 6-9, 2021. After this time, you’ll need to wait until November 19th, unless DICE choose to prolong the open beta.

During these four days of playtime, you’ll be able to experience two different maps.
The iconic sandbox mode returns, all the action and gameplay centers around sectors consisting of several flags instead of individual control points.
In this one, the map is highly environmental. A true showcase of how the world and setting around you can affect your battle. In this map, it’s a timed experience as you fight around an imminent rocket launch.
Battlefield 2042 will be featuring some of the biggest servers the franchise has seen. Xbox One and PlayStation®4 supports 64 players. 128 players and massive-scale maps are available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation®5.
