HarmonyOS 2 stable version now available for 65 models

Today, HarmonyOS officially released the upgrade process for the HarmonyOS system. As of now, over 80 Huawei and Honor models are currently getting the update. However, only the 65 on this list have the stable version. Nevertheless, the specific models for the stable upgrade include Huawei Mate 40 series, Huawei P40 series, Huawei Mate 30 series, Huawei nova series (some models), Huawei Mate 20 series, Huawei Enjoy series, Huawei tabs, Huawei MatePad series, Honor mobile phones as well as other models.

How to upgrade to HarmonyOS 2?

  • Go to  “My Huawei” App – upgrade early adopters – check immediately
  • There are two upgrade methods for Honor devices. In addition to upgrading in the “Services” App, you can also choose to upgrade through the “Member Center” App -homepage.
  • Please note that whether you are using “My Huawei” or “Honor Services” or “Member Center” App, you MUST update the app to the latest version.

At the Huawei P50 series launch event,  Huawei Consumer Business CEO, Yu Chengdong, revealed that since June 2nd, HarmonyOS 2 has had over 40 million users. This is also equivalent to 8 users upgrading every second. Furthermore, he claims that many old models like the Mate 9 and P10 will get this update. According to Huawei, no less than 100 models will have this update before the end of the year. Furthermore, the company plans to have 300 million devices running HarmonyOS. Among them, 200 million will be Huawei’s devices while 100 million will be from third-party companies.

So far, Huawei’s stride with the HarmonyOS rollout is quite commendable. However, we do not know if Huawei will succeed with this system. Nevertheless, HarmonyOS success means more competition in the market. Its success will also break the Android-iOS monopoly.
