Battlefield 2042 is now in early access, and players are coming up against a number of errors. Here’s how to resolve the ‘Unable to load Persistence Data’ error.
What is the ‘Unable to load Persistence Data’
EA are informing BF2042 players of anytime downtime or issues on the official support Twitter feed, Battlefield Direct Communication. They have addressed the BF2042 Persistence Data error on the feed, and say that the issue occurs when trying to load into a Server, and that you will be sent back to the main menu. They have also advised what you can do if you come across it when trying to join a server.
How to fix the BF2042 Persistence Data error
At the moment, the only ‘fix’ is to hit the Retry button that will appear alongside the error. Keep hitting retry until the game lets you back into server access.
The Battlefield Direct Communication Twitter feed has said that they are “on it”, so the Retry fix is just a short-term solution until they can put an end to whatever is causing it in the first place.
