One of the most precious items in the end game crafting for New World is Void ore. For those unfamiliar with Void ore, you don’t necessarily farm it. It is one of those items based on your luck and has a chance to drop after mining Orichalcum veins. Below we will teach you the best ways to get your hands on Void ore in New World.
How to farm Void ore in New World
If you want to farm Void ore in New World, you will need to put on your best mining luck gear. You have two choices of mining tools, Starmetal Mining Pick, or use an Orichalcum pick if you can afford it or have the spare Orichalcum knocking around. Ideally, you’ll want a mining pick that has luck on it, so you have more chance of acquiring some of that precious Void ore.
If you cannot craft yourself a decent Starmetal or Orichalcum pick with luck on it, try looking through your server’s Trading posts. As long as you have a pick with luck on it shouldn’t matter too much, but ideally, you want Starmetal or Orichalcum due to the increased mining speed those two get.
Moreso, any gear you can find that has increased mining luck perks should be worn while mining. Lastly, different tier meals from the Cooking profession grant players increased luck in different trade skills for a set duration. Some of those meals affect mining luck, so we recommend grabbing any of these luck meals.
- Roasted Potatoes – granting 1000 pts mining luck for 20 minutes.
- Herb-Roasted Potatoes – providing 1400 pts of mining luck for 25 minutes.
- Boiled Potatoes – buffing the player with 1700 pts mining luck for 30 minutes.
- Poultry with Roasted Potatoes – 1900 pts mining luck is applied to your character for 35 minutes.
- Salted Roasted Vegetables – gain 2000 pts of mining luck for 40 minutes.
After that, we recommend going ahead and finding some decent Orichalcum mining routes.
New World Void Ore Farm Routes
Some of the best spots for farming Orichalcum veins are around the coast of the Imperial Palace and its connecting islands. There are roughly 16 different raming spots. The only downside is that this is the route you only do if you can brave the area’s level 61 and 62 enemies. Plus, the area is home to the Dynasty Shipyard, so players naturally traverse the area and might not be too efficient. We recommend this one in off-peak hours as you can get a lot of ore in very little time, presumingly there is no competition.
Another decent are to farm Void ore is in the lake village just south of Skysong Shrine in Ebonscale Reach. The tiny town is filled with various supply chests and caches, along with seven Orichalcum deposits. The mob difficulty isn’t too bad either, as it contains level 56 corrupted enemies.
One other good area is to the southeast of the Greate Cleave. There are several mountain valleys, each filled with level 60 corrupted enemies. If you explore the area, you will find plenty of ores around the mountain edges.
Finally, the densest area for New World void ore is the Myrkgard. While the area is one of the best places to farm for gear score and corrupted portals, it is also great for Orichalcum. You can find lots of veins inside the town of Myrkgard, along with the settlements just on the outside of its menacing gates. One area you will need to visit is the giant enclosed mountain area just to the southeast of Myrkgard. Be aware that Myrkgard needs a group, as Corrupted Ogres guard the area at every entrance, and every enemy is an elite.
Unfortunately, there are not that many dense locations which you can solo farm. If you’re interested, check out one of the New World map websites and see if you can spot some treat farming spots.
