New Acer XB323K 32″ 4K 144Hz HDMI 2.1 Gaming Monitor Emerges

The 4K 144Hz monitor seems to be increasing in popularity thanks to the arrival of high-performance GPUs and next-gen consoles. With HDMI 2.1 now being more widely supported, next-gen console gamers can now utilize high-end monitors to enjoy 4K gaming @120hz, respectively.

One of the latest ‘4K’ UHD HDMI 2.1 monitors to emerge is Acer’s XB323K – a 32″ 4K IPS panel with VESA DisplayHDR600 certification. It will come equipped with all the features we’ve come to expect from Acer’s high-end Predator lineup, including quick response, high refresh rates, great color accuracy, and a wide color gamut.

The details of the new Acer XB323K emerge on Chinese retailer Taobao recently, showcasing many of the monitor’s specifications and features. As per the listing, we can speculate US pricing to be in the region of $1300-1400. That said, there are no details regarding the US/Europe release dates or pricing at this early stage.

Acer XB323K Specifications

As far as specs go, the XB323K will offer an immersive 32″ “Fast IPS” panel (AU Optronics), rapid 144Hz refresh rate, and a “true 1ms” response time – although we’ll be taking that last spec with a pinch of salt. The XB323K will also feature a 3840 x 2160 “4K” UHD screen resolution with a 0.5 minimum G2G response time.

The Predator monitor also comes equipped with a native 1200:1 contrast ratio, 700cd/m2 peak luminance (whilst in HDR mode), 178/178 viewing angles, and a wide color gamut that covers 99.5% of the Adobe RGB spectrum (equivalent to 99% DCI-P3) – pretty impressive.

This monitor looks set to tick all the right boxes, providing stunning image quality alongside a liquidy smooth gaming experience. Furthermore, it will be next-gen console friendly, offering up several HDMI 2.1 ports too. Variable refresh rate seems to be supported for both AMD and NVIDIA systems, however, the listing says G-Sync compatible which does confuse things.

VESA DisplayHDR600 will also feature on the XB323K, allowing users to be immersed in greater levels of color detail and realism. Edge-lit local dimming will help create a more realistic HDR experience, however, only a limited number of zones are available – or so it seems. Ports will include 2 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.1, and 4 x USB 3.0 as well – not to mention a 3.5mm audio jack.

Where To Buy Acer XB323K?

At time of writing this, details regarding official US/Europe release dates and pricing is yet to be known. More details should become available later in the year, however, if Taobao’s listing is anything to go by, we should expect the monitor to retail around the $1300-1400 mark. However, this is all speculation and it could be considerably more – I suppose only time will tell.

Either way, the XB323K looks set to be an incredibly good gaming monitor.
