OnePlus recently launched the Nord 2 mid-range handset in India and other markets in July after the success of the original OnePlus Nord, with the device receiving a post-launch update that tweaked the auto-brightness mode, added an option for Ultra Resolution and improved overall app performance.
The updates released after that fixed the camera performance of the device and tackled additional bugs. Today OnePlus is releasing a new update that will further address issues of the software UI.
OnePlus is now rolling out OxygenOS 11.3.A.10 for the OnePlus Nord 2, as spotted by XDA Developers which includes battery optimizations for games such as PUBG. Users reported excess battery drain during PUBG matches.
This update will improve the overall performance and reduce battery drain. The camera app stability is now better and the August 2021 security patch has been added. The update is 245MB in size.
OxygenOS 11.3.A.10 Changelog
- Updated Android security patch to 2021.08
- Optimized PUBG and other mobile games to reduce system power consumption
- Improve System Stability
- Fixed the issue that face unlock may fail in some scenes
OnePlus Nord 2 units in India are now receiving the OxygenOS 11.3.A.10 patch. Users can check for the update by going to Settings -> System -> System Updates.
Much like previous OxygenOS updates, the new update is being rolled out batch by batch, so it will take time for the update to reach. OTA packages are available, but you can wait for the official build since it will be released very soon.
