Tom Clancy’s Xdefiant: Beta Release Date And How To Sign Up

The Tom Clancy saga continues with the latest competitive FPS iteration – XDefiant. After much speculation, Ubisoft has finally unveiled the closed beta and when it will be released. And whilst console gamers will be disappointed to hear that no demo is available on PlayStation or Xbox, you can still sign up for future test runs of the game.

What Is Tom Clancy XDefiant?

In a nutshell, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is a fast-paced arena shooter that sees a 6v6 battle between competing teams in a COD/Overwatch style. Forbes classes it as 80% Call of duty, 20% Overwatch, and 0% Splinter Cell – annoying some die-hard Clancy loyalists – but sparking anticipation amongst the FPS community.

Ubisoft’s new title will feature a number of different game styles, classes, and maps, where players will compete in a 6v6 arena that is more fast-paced and “punk rock” than what we’ve come to expect from the Clancy franchise.
